Business Development Conference
in Perth, W.A. on
Tuesday the 30th October 2007.
2007 Incubator of
the Year

Darebin Enterprise Centre Ltd.
Darebin Enterprise Centre Ltd is a general purpose
incubator based in Alphington, an inner northern suburb of
Melbourne. The centre and it's 14 staff have graduated 55
businesses during their 10 years of operation. They currently
support 36 businesses on their site and more than 80 through their
virtual and remote services.
The support they
provide extends to Aboriginal businesses in Victoria, New South
Wales, Tasmania and the Northern Territory where they have
established offices in Darwin, Katherine and Alice
Springs.

company was based at Darebin Enterprise Centre Ltd before
graduating to Preston in Melbourne's inner north.
The company grew
from a sole proprietor business to one with 11 employees on
graduation. The turnover of the company increase 30 fold in the
time.

Gourmet Lovers Pty Ltd.
Gourmet Lovers is
a tenant business of Darebin Enterprise Centre. The company bottles
and distributes high quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil and infused
Olive Oil. They have expanded their market to fine foods stores,
niche delicatessens and major retailers in Australia, USA and
Europe. The company has increased its turnover more than 6-fold
since starting in the incubator's program in 2005. A single
employee company in 2005, Gourmet Lovers now employs 5 staff
members.
